STITCHING TOGETHER
Crazy Hexi Cardi Update
The Crazy Hexi Cool Cardi was the project I took with me to France - I carried it on 4 planes, a cruise ship, 2 trains and countless taxis! And it’s still not finished!
I misjudged two things:
How long it takes to work up skinny yarn, and
How much time I think I’ll have to crochet while traveling vs how much time I actually have! I totally overpack, and bringing it all back in the same state.

Crocheters going on Vacation
Traveling with Crochet
I took my hook and a small set of cheap nail clippers and had no trouble getting my crochet bag through TSA or French airport security. Of course, I had a backup hook and snippers in my suitcase in case, but no disasters necessitated their use.
Progress & One Big Tip
I’m at the point where the sleeves are almost done. Just a couple more rows on each, and I’ll be able to start the join!
It was definitely a good idea to crochet the sleeves simultaneously — I won’t lie, it seems to be taking FOREVER — but it’s keeping the tension consistent and helping mitigate abandonment!

Almost completed sleeves
I like how it’s turning out, but can’t wait to move to the next step!
👉 Did you have trouble with crochet paraphernalia at the airport this holiday season?

WEAVING IN THE ENDS
The snowstorm has me stuck inside, surveying my crochet kingdom and wondering what to do next: where to start and what to finish.
And that got me thinking.
The holidays are a distant memory and January seems sooo looong…let’s do “Finish It February” to give us something to work towards as we organize and get us ready for the year ahead!
Let’s reset with low-pressure and no guilt to finally deal with the projects we’ve already started.
Finish it.
Frog it.
Forget it.
Next week, I’ll drop a new free printable so that you can take inventory, pick a few realistic projects to focus on, and give yourself permission to let go of the rest.
Before we start, I want to hear from you:
👉 Reply to this email and tell me — how many WIPs do you think you have?
No digging required. Just your gut answer.
I’ll see you back here next week with the official kickoff.
