Chemo Hats for Charity

I can get three chemo hats out of one ball of worsted weight yarn with a 5mm hook. These hats are also for donation to From The Heart, a local charity.

I have no real pattern - it’s a basic beanie - starting with 12 double crochets in a magic ring, increasing between stitches every round until I hit 60 stitches. and finishing with a 5dc scalloped edge.

You can see how I was experimenting with the final number of stitches. The left one had an extra row of increases (72 stitches) and the middle one is how I normally make them. The one with 72 on the left flares out a little.

The one on the right, I was using a bigger hook to see the difference. It’s definitely bigger!

These are very easy to make when traveling - not too much counting and no pattern needed!
